Excitement is everywhere, and the Earth shivers with anticipation as a new era in my life begins to begin. Yes, tomorrow at 4:45pm PST I will get on a plane and fly away to London, England, arriving the next day at 10:30 GMT. I will then meet up with my buddy Alex and catch a ride to Wigram House in Central London, right next to Westminster Cathedral, where I will be living for the next four months. During that time, I will be taking classes at the University of Westminster, looking for work, and generally having an amazing time. I also plan to make out with a few English birds.

Yes: Next time I type my life will have changed completely. Wish me luck!

Uploaded a new track for you all to listen to! Well, sort of new. It is an alternate version of SlowBeam, that I did a while ago. It began it’s life as the ending of the original version of SlowBeam, but then it just got too elaborate and became an entity unto itself. It’s very spacey and gushy and fluid. Sort of like goo. In fact it is so much like goo that I am calling SlowBeam (Goo Mix). Enjoy.

Just got back from a very relaxing overnight trip to Los Angeles. I now know where all those people who I always used to see rollerblading have disappeared to. They are all in full spandex with headphones on, cruising the beach at Santa Monica. Not only that but I think they have been reproducing like mad since I last saw them!

Now let me share a funny little snapshot of L.A. with you. I am sitting at an open air cafe on the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, people-watching to my hearts content. I see a kind of down and out, homeless-looking guy standing by a trashcan. My mom notices that he’s probably a little crazy because he is having a really intense conversation with nobody.

A couple minutes later a woman walks by in full glamorous L.A. style, very chic and trendy. She also is having an intense converstion with nobody. Oh wait, no, she is walking down the street with her cellphone connected to a handsfree headphone set, having an in-depth conversation with whoever is on the other end of the line. By all appearances, both she and the homeless man are talking to invisible people. Who’s crazier? You tell me.

What’s up with me in the New Year? Well, currently I am working real hard at getting my ass out of bed before noon. I have taken to setting an alarm for the butt-crack-of-dawn hour of 10:00 AM.

On the rare occasion that I actually am awake you can often find me working on this remix of the Zelda theme song that I am currently undertaking. I got a massive jolt of inspiration when I found this really sweet sample of an old TV ad from the 80′s, when Zelda for NES first came out. It’s got these kids saying stuff like “intense” and “awesome”, then busting out into superfly freestyle rhymes. Case in point: “It’s the Legend of Zelda and it’s really rad / Those creatures from Gaanon are pretty bad”. Siiiiick bra. Don’t worry, music fans, you’ll get to hear the remix soon. Until then, you can just listen to SlowBeam over and over and over again. And when your done with that, just kick back, and sip on a little mocha. Hey. You wanted to click on that link. Get on now, go.

New track up! It is sort of a remix of Beaming, but it has been slowed down and switched into bummer mode. Hence the name “SlowBeam“. I got the idea when I was just screwing around, and pitchshifted the drum track from Beaming way down. It had this raw, gritty feeling to it, and I kind of just went from there. I’d say it ended up being different enough to be it’s own song really. Any comments are very appreciated.

And for those of you who are wondering how my Christmas went… (drumroll) it was very nice. Quiet now, that sounds like 2002 speeding towards us, and I think it wants some beer.

I have arrived back home in California to be with my family for Christmas. So, yeah, finals are all over, thankfully, and life is nice and stupid and easy again. I will be in Cali for about a month and then I am off to London for six months! I will be going to school at the University of Westminster. I am so excited!

In other news, my bro Ben (aka Mikrosopht) has put up some pictures of the visit he paid me in Portland. Just go to Enooze and click on the little flashing camera next to my name in the list of featured artists to view them. This should give you a better idea of exactly what sex would look like personified. Just be sure to ignore that first one. I don’t look like that… Ben suprised me, I am not really an emaciated crackhead.

And of course…

Merry Christmas. :)

Um. Wow. When I entered this computer lab today it was light outside. Now it is dark. How lame is that? Not too lame actually, because I was having fun getting my graphic art mojo workin’. The biggest fruit of my labor is the new links page, which is now hosted by one of my doodle creatures. There is another one hiding around this page somewhere. Also, changed the picture on this page to the nice tree you see above. I found this picture in the scanner when I got here and thought it was damn cool. Thank you, anonymous person. Now, time to lay my eyes on something that isn’t a monitor…

I have finally gotten around to putting up a song I made a couple of weeks ago called “Sluggo“. It’s a veritable cornucopia, bubbling over with schizophrenic breakbeats and naughty little synths. I think my inner funk is really beginning to assert itself with this one. Email me if you agree (or if you don’t). Shout outs go to Ice-T and his posse for the tender guest vocals. Don’t forget to feed the sharks on your way out.

I find myself in a hermetically sealed room full of sleeping computers. I am working on a 3d graphics program that is due tomorrow. It is 4am.

…meanwhile RuPaul continues on his epic cross-country journey. Actually, at this point, he is more likely sleeping on his big head of fabulous hair. He saw the Grand Canyon today.

Oh yeah. The links page has been updated.
