Homeslice Michaelangelo Matos has a really wonderful post up today. Got me all nostalgic and teary-eyed for my brief, totally amazing rave-going experience. I’m gonna have to bust out those trance mixtapes soon… if I had a tape player.

Also, super nice guy and popfest volunteer Brent Bell just started up a blog. He’s off to a good start already, connecting dots between Chekhov (whoever that is) and proper non-diaristic blog practice.

I was at a party a month or so ago, and they had a fog machine-that smell flashed me back to high school raves with a quickness-I’m glad to see others are proud of the rave-going experience, too. It was totally goofy but awesome and fun and illicit, as well. if you don’t have a tape player I recommend making a kind of low pitched noise like “oounce” in the back of your throat at around 135 BPM-provides a pretty good trance simulation.
