Yes, it’s been awhile. This is a good thing. The lack of activity on this site means that I’ve been very busy in my real, offline, life. To begin with, I mananged to weasel my way into an awesome job working as Music and Content Editor at a new music website called OEbase. I’m pretty much the luckiest person in the world, because this exactly the sort of thing I want to be doing: promoting local music, playing with computers (altho I want that less and less), and writing.

Yes, writing. I do a lot writing for site, which is funny because this blog and the Metempsychosis site were just about the only writing I used to do. Now I write all the time, and get paid for it. I’m actually starting to write freelance for my local weekly, The Willamette Week. Crazy shit!

I’ve also moved house. I now live in lovely SouthEast Portland, right by the legendary Movie Madness. It’s very nice there. I ride my bike to work just about every day, and often at night, drunk. I go to lots of shows and hear lots of local music.
